Although this relay is not specifically designed for arc protection, it's digital operation allows the overcurrent settings to be changed via a selectable program.
Two groups of settings are stored in the relay, one with timed overcurrent settings for normal operation and a second with a lower instantaneous setting to provide protection against electric arcs.
The setting group is selected via an external switch.
This system has been used by Arcaware when it has not been possible to install arc protection relays.
